Upper Room is a great community. The pastors and staff are all wonderful people. The messages are moving and thought-provoking. The music is so well done. We love it!
The community is so welcoming with fantastic musicians in an intimate church atmosphere. Pastor Todd is engaging, thoughtful, and accessible. Childcare offered with many opportunities to enrich spirituality and build a sense of community outside of weekly Sunday services. We've looked MANY places, but now consider this our church home. Definitely worth a visit.
If you want a church that is going to give you a blueprint that tells you exactly what and how to believe, this is not the church for you. At UR, you are allowed to wonder and question without feeling like you're doing something wrong. You will find yourself growing and stretching your own faith with a community that is doing the same, all with a common goal of loving God and loving others well. And if you're reading this, I really look forward to seeing you there!
We discovered Upper Room about 6 months after moving to the Twin Cities and it has become a home base for my family. I've found it to be a wonderfully thoughtful, justice-oriented church that has been great for me personally in a "I don't fit in quite right in many mainstream evangelical churches" kind of way.
Upper Room has been my church home since 2015. From the first night I walked in I felt welcomed and among curious people committed to navigating the ups and downs of their faith journey. Instead of dreading Sunday nights and the looming return to work, I now cherish Sunday nights and being able to gather with friends to worship, learn, connect and support each other. I'm so grateful to have Upper Room as part of my life.
