Wayzata Bay Charter Cruises on Lake Minnetonka

Our department celebrated our company’s 50th anniversary aboard the Paradise Princess. The pizza cruise is a great way to relax and enjoy the multimillion dollar homes and gorgeous views on Lake Minnetonka. Roaming from indoors to outdoors to variety of people enjoying the cruise. We didn’t want it to end.

We had a fantastic time aboard Her Excellency during our belated wedding reception this summer. The value for booking a wedding event with Wayzata Bay Charters was incredible. All the essentials were taken care of.

The crew, including captain Aaron along with Briana and Deb handling food and bar, were absolutely amazing. They were running around the entire boat making sure our guests had full cups and plenty of food. Speaking of, the dinner was delicious. We had no idea what to expect with a buffet aboard a boat, but it was significantly better than we hoped!

The captain took the time to chat with people at the front of the yacht about history and sites along Lake Minnetonka. We were able to plug our own music into the boat's sound system. The only piece that was a little disappointing was the microphone for making announcements. The top deck heard everything but the lower deck wasn't quite as clear.

We wanted to give out of town guests a quintessential Minnesota experience, so a boat on the lake was the goal. With a full buffet, champagne toast, passed deserts, open bar, and all taxes and services fees included, the single bill was much lower than anything else out there. Most importantly, our guests had nothing but raves for days after!

Wonderful experience aboard Wayzata Bay Charters! Beautiful boat, friendly staff and great appetizers (fruit, meat, cheese, dip, etc.) to enjoy during the 2-hour Happy Hour cruise. Drinks are additional but have plenty to choose from for a good price! We had a group of people with us and was a perfect way to spend the evening. I would advise getting there earlier enough to find street (paid) parking as it fills up fast. Enjoy the ride!

Our first trip was a bit of a disaster. Perhaps it was due to the people on the cruise and not the cruise company itself. It just seemed like my 5-year-old was not welcomed and we got a lot of eye rolls. After the cruise, we received a survey which I filled out. The next day, management contacted me and gave us a free cruise to try them out again. The second time was wonderful! This cruise company does in fact like kids! Food was good. They give you a lot of information about the lake and some large houses. Even the music they played was perfect and not too overbearing. The captain even let my son drive the boat! AND my son got to pick out a little charm to have. My son was so excited! The captain was wonderful! Tip: bring a jacket because it’s always colder on a lake. Seems like kids get bored after an hour, so bring an activity for them to do in case they get antsy or bring headphones if you give them your phone, so the rest of us aren’t stuck listening to Sponge Bob SquarePants. 😊 This cruise is well worth it.

I had a phenomenal time aboard the Elixir boat cruise with my coworkers! We did the Hawaiian theme and had a relaxing time boating down Lake Minnetonka. ☺️ Great company and an amazing experience!
