Family Foods is a wonderful neighborhood spot to pick up staples, like eggs, queso, onions, cleaning supplies, or that ingredient you discover last minute you are missing from your next recipe, like baking powder, vinegar, or honey.

However, what really makes this store special is the owner, who is so friendly and kind to ALL of his customers. From young kids buying candy, to nearby artists picking up random snacks, to locals swerving by for a pack of cigarettes, Yassin knows and welcomes everyone in the neighborhood.

Overall, highly recommended! Great hours - open from at least noon to very late in the evening.

Love this place! A cornucopia of snack time delights! Fair prices, owner is very kind and friendly. Try the mango juice :)

This place is incredible if you ask me! The owner is a laid back chiller and is as cool as cool can get! Very friendly, and soft spoken! Considerate and Speaks with respect! I'm new to the area so its nice to be able to walk into a place and feel @ home and welcome. Accepted as a friend of the Longfellow!
