I'm very glad that my Chiro referred my case to Schmidt Law firm. After my car accident, they help me deal with the medical bills and the insurance company. Very happy with my settlement and I would definitely recommend this law firm.
(April 12, 2017, 11:24 pm)What's evident as soon as you've spent more than ten minutes with Doug, Dean and the rest of their staff is how *connected* they are to every single client. Phone calls get returned as quickly as possible; follow-up on documentation is rigorous; there is keen attention to detail. Everyone at Schmidt & Salita takes a genuine personal interest in getting the best outcome possible for each case. They really typify what it means to be a strong advocate for the best interests of their clients and they are rightly proud to work together as a team. That's very different than the experiences I've had with big fancy law firms in the past.
(April 10, 2017, 12:55 pm)Our family was in a car accident last spring-- an inattentive driver hit us head-on. Thankfully we walked away, shaken up, but alive to tell the story. Unfortunately my wife's condition seriously declined, and 3 days after the accident she couldn't remember a thing. Her brain had continued to swell and what was a bad headache and fogginess went on to become a loss of memory, coordination, speech, vision, etc. It was scary, and I was overwhelmed. Without my wife able to do much of anything, I quickly became a "single dad", taking care of our 2 young kids.
I knew I had to bring a lawyer into the mix to help us navigate a situation we had never been in, but I wanted to make sure we weren't just another case to line a pocketbook with. From the moment I met with Doug Schmidt and his team, I knew we were in good hands. What sold me from the get-go was the clear fact that Mr. Schmidt knows A TON about concussions and traumatic brain injuries like what we were dealing with. Honestly, the way he explained how and why my wife was suffering was more informative than the doctors we had been visiting. It was clear that he was an expert on not just the legal side of injury claims, but also on the medical side.
Doug and his team took the weight off our shoulders, by working with ours and the claimant's insurance companies.They also helped by recommending medical experts in our area to help with rehab therapies-- lawyers aren't paid for this kind of thing. While we wouldn't ever ask for an accident like this to happen, Schmidt Law made the best of it by working hard for us, but showing that they care with check-in phone calls, etc. In less than a year, Doug and his team won us a settlement for the maximum of the claimant's liability coverage. Just a couple weeks later, they secured us the maximum settlement amount from our policy's UIM coverage.
