I was told about Nokomis Service through a mutual friend. My Honda Civic had an oil leak and I wanted to give Nokomis a try! Initially, the owner Joe took a look and determined that it might be a bigger problem than he was willing to take on. I appreciated his honesty with this situation. However, he did feel guilty for not being much use in helping to fix this issue. He said if he could find extra time and get some extra help, he would get in touch with me. Well, those things happened and i brought my Civic back to him. After a day, my Civic was fixed and at a good price. I'm happy to say that i enjoyed working with Joe here (he's really great) and his honesty. He could have gone on a wild goose chase with my vehicle but didn't. He's really a diamond in the rough and I would highly recommend him! He'll tell you like it is and won't take you for a repair ride! Thank you for your work, Nokomis Service!
Joe has been taking care of my mom and mine car forever. He never cheats you and always does a great job
Joe is the most honest mechanic I’ve ever met, and he has always done a great job servicing or repairing my cars.
My husband and I have brought our cars to Joe for years. He is an outstanding mechanic and a man of the utmost integrity and kindness. If he has a flaw it is the fact that he doesn't charge enough for his service. We have recommended him to several of our friends and they echo our trust and confidence in Joe.
Best experience I've had with a car repair shop. Joe is the best...relaxed, friendly, honest, fair and not happy with the repairs until you are. He had to do much investigating and troubleshooting to get to the root of the problems with the brakes
on my 1972 Gremlin (that's right, Gremlin) thanks to a previous owner's less than stellar "repairs".
We'll be taking our other cars to Nokomis from now on...another little gem in our neighborhood.
