The General Store of Minnetonka Township

MN owned, family company, super unique things including lots from MN based artists. The cafe food is amazing, especially the homemade soups and desserts. I worked there once for an interim job and I can vouch for the homemade nature of everything in the cafe- get a famous pumpkin bar to go even if you’re not hungry. This is a place I go when I am celebrating myself or need a pick me up- nostalgia abounds!

Shopping at The General Store is always a fun experience. There is so much to see with such variety, it is perfect entertainment for one who loves to browse. Today I tried lunch at from their Cafe to go. It was good, but not amazing. I had the chicken caesar wrap with chicken wild rice soup and chips. It was ok, but the wrap was lacking that true caesar flavor, it seemed bland to me. I appreciated that they wrapped the pickle so my wrap did not get soggy. The soup was also good, more flavorful than the wrap but I have had better chicken wild rice soups. All that said, I am not discouraged, and I will certainly try another lunch at the Cafe.

I adore this store. They’re always really welcoming and kind whenever I visit. I love the café. The scones are amazing and the popovers are the best. I enjoy the whole vibe of the store. It’s one of my favorite places in Minnesota.
