They test then explain the results so you can understand what is happening inside your ears and what type of hearing aids would be best for you. They carry TruHearing and other high quality manufacturers. TruHearing is what worked best for my situation because my insurance covered more than half the cost. A significant savings! After the test a demo pair of hearing aids were used for me to try. The test results were programmed into the demo hearing aids via computer link. The program was specific to my hearing loss. High frequency and some mid-ranges were enhanced and no need for low frequencies. Once fitted to them I did not want to give them back. It was truly amazing. I could hear again. Sound quality was excellent and I could hardly notice wearing them. They were small, stealth like. The doctor helped me pick out the perfect pair and color. There was absolutely no pressure to go with one type over another. Depending on your hearing loss the premium may be the best option. They have a 60 day trial with money back guaranty. So you could upgrade if desired. The premium type was a no-brainer for me. In two weeks I went in again to be fitted with mine. Same thing; the doctor programmed them before I arrived. Placed a tiny tube into my ear canals hooked up to a computer to measure exact sounds hitting each eardrum; and placed my new hearing aids in with them. No worry, plenty of room for both! He synchronized them to pick up the proper sounds. Then had me count so that the aids would recognize my voice. Lots of interesting fine tuning. Then helped load and train me on how to use the TruHearing app for my phone. Pretty simple function to learn. But you do not need it. It just adds more on the fly adjustments you can do in different hearing situations. I have not had my hearing aids long enough to give a strong opinion about the app. But it looks like “how could I live without it?” Sound Hearing really helped me and put me at ease about hearing loss and wearing hearing aids. They instructed on how to wear, remove, clean when needed and use of the charger. I left with full understanding within one hour. No pressure or hurried instructions.
