“Friendly staff especially 1 particular woman named Samantha. Every time I go in the store and she is there she is working very hard. Multitasking in the pure definition of the word. And every time she greets me and everyone else with a big smile. I personally have witnessed a few different times that she helped people out in what most might think is a small favor but the reaction of the customer clearly shows she significantly improved and impacted their day where as others from another shop probably let them down. I must give credit where credit is due and Samantha is someone that deserves being mentioned as a fantastic representative of Speedway. “I spent about 3 hours in the sunoco located at 697 Orchard Park Rd, West Seneca, NY 14224 this evening due to a terrible snow storm which caused my vehicle to be stranded. The worker, whose name was Melissa, was fantastic. Myself, my 2 year old son and 6 month old daughter were left stranded in the cold and over 2 feet of snow. When we called the store to see if we could come in and warm up, Melissa didn't hesitate to rush us in and warm up. She even helped me carry my daughters carrier in. She made sure we had a warm, and safe area to ride out the worst of the storm, and didn't seem to mind at all when my toddler was asking her a million questions, or getting cranky because it was hours past bedtime. And it wasn't just me, there were several other stranded customers who stopped in over the course of my stay and she greeted each and every one of them with the same cheery smile and willingness to help. She really took charge of a tough situation and made me feel safe in a time of need. She was truly phenomenal in every way and I feel so lucky to have stopped in and to have met her. I often drive by this station on my way home from work, and I just found my new go to spot to grab our snacks and drinks on our long commute from work to home. Thank you again Melissa. You were a blessing to my family.”

“Hy-Vee only gets a 4-star rating today and that will probably be the highest they will be able to achieve from now on. The loss of one star is due to the $85.00 extra hold they want to place on your debit card in addition to the purchase price of the gasoline you buy. An example is: you purchase $50 in gas, Hy-Vee charges your card $135. That's a hold on $85 of your money that you no longer have access to. Hy-Vee says your financial institution can release the hold or will eventually. A person should not have to make the extra effort to get their own money back for something they didn't spend it on. I use a credit card for gas so this isn't an issue for me personally but I certainly can see where this could cause a lot of financial problems for a lot of people. Hy-Vee, normally you are on top of things with customer service, but you got this one wrong.”
