“I brought my 1-yo new dog of about two weeks, Doris, for some potential heart worm disease post-treatment concerns. We came early in the morning (5:30am) after calling from home to check on availability. We were the first ones there and we were seen as promptly as we were promised (within a half hour of our initial phone call.) We left right around an hour and a half after they looked her over and took our fecal sample for tests. She was diagnosed with hook worm and prescribed medication which they kindly sent over to be filled by the nearby Animal Humane Society (which fills RX for free within 14 days of adoption of their rescues.) Overall service was quick and courteous. The only minor qualm I had was lack of detailed information on hookworm from the vet and that she didn’t try to hide that she was in a hurry; our conversation was a bit quick. I respect that this is probably just the way a vet must become when dealing with emergency services and potentially emotional pet owners. The vet tech who worked with us also made sure to answer any questions I had thoroughly, before discharge. Price-wise, they’re on the higher end compared to a couple of other places I checked but I paid no more than expected as they gave me options throughout the visit. I would recommend them if your pet is in need. Just make sure you truly have the ability to pay and remember that a pet ER is similar to one for humans; sometimes, you have to wait long for more sever cases to go first and it is pricier than a normal vet visit.”
