“This is the trailhead for both a single-track mountain biking trail and a short (about 1.0 or 1.5 mile) hiking loop. The two trails are on opposite ends of a parking lot. There are restrooms. Note this is not one of the best places to park to access the 5- to 7-mile loop that goes around the perimeter of the park. In general, signage at this park is not the best. I was there to hike. If you're looking for a shorter hike, this is a nice one that takes you through a variety of ecosystems. It's rugged enough to feel like you got exercise but not really challenging for most folks. I think younger children could handle it.”

“We have been at North Shore for almost a year and a half now and we have nothing but great things to say! It did not take my daughter long to start calling North Shore her second home. Which really is amazing since she came from another gym and did not know anyone when she decided to start a new journey in this crazy sport that she has so much passion for! The Coaches are amazing. They know the sport and they know how to keep the girls safe. They push the girls to their full potential. They encourage them and understand them. They have made an impact on my daughter and for that I am grateful. The other gymnast are also what makes this gym stand out! They laugh with each other, they encourage each other and they cheer each other on. They welcome new teammates with open arms. If your child has ever switched gyms, it’s scary not knowing what they are walking into and worrying about fitting in and finding their place. This was not an issue for my daughter in any means! “Got a great deal using Upside, so I ventured into the great unknown, vast metropolis of Minneapolis, using my GPS, and found this little hole-in-the wall rib joint. Personality plus! I think there was parking behind the building, but I opted to walk from a side street. I really liked the mild bbq ribs, twice baked potato 1/2, and the somewhat petite cuplet of coleslaw. Only one small table, and not really an eat in sort of place, so my only co.plaint, which only about my circumstances, not their food, was that I didn't get to eat it hot. I didn't know where to stop and eat, so ended going all the home. I'll plan to find a park nearby, before I get the food, so I can have peak enjoyment! Quirky MN memorabilia covered the walls, so plenty to peruse while waiting a few minutes for your food! Nice people. Going to go again!”

“We had ~1,600 sq.ft. of carpet installed in our newly-purchased home prior to moving in. We ultimately decided to go with Hopkins Carpet One, a more local company, rather than a big box store like Home Depot. The entire experience was disappointing. The preliminary sales process went fine, but when it came to scheduling/installation there was serious disorganization and confusion about timelines, which was surprising since we'd scheduled installation months in advance and were extremely forthright about our needs (our home was being painted, so we needed to accommodate painters prior to installing new carpet). This was frustrating, but we eventually got everything worked out without too much of a headache. After two months (installation July 2022), we're happy overall with the low-pile carpet we selected. However, the quality of the installation is really, really disappointing in places. An entire staircase was skipped during the installation and necessitated a separate crew coming out a week later to finish the job. Tack-strips/adhesive is already failing around a couple floor HVAC registers and there was a closet entryway where tack-strip was flat-out missing (which the second crew was thankfully able to correct). A couple hatchet-job cuts along baseboard with almost laughable attempt to correct the mistakes. There are sections of bedroom where the carpet is nearly 1/4" short of meeting the baseboard. Cuts along stair tread/skirt boards are inconsistent; some are great, others…pretty average. Understand low-pile carpet is less forgiving, but we did expect more. This wasn't exactly cheap. I've attached a couple pictures for reference. UPDATE: the company’s quality control person did contact us promptly after leaving this review. They stopped by our home to inspect the installation and agreed there were deficiencies (in addition to ones not highlighted within the pictures) and were very apologetic about the quality. A new install crew came by a couple weeks later and fixed several areas. The result is much better. Review increased from 2 stars to 4 stars accordingly. My only gripe is that no one bothered to tell us when the crew was coming to make the fixes. They just showed up at our door one morning. Thankfully we were home.”
