My mom has lived there for one year.
She has a two bedroom apartment and started living independently and moved to an assisted living option soon after COVID shut things down
Changing here level of care was a simple process and well communicated. She receives wonderful care from the entire staff. COVID has reduced the number of activities, but we are confident that once COVID is over, that will increase. The other residents are friendly and the building and commons are beautiful and well maintained.
She lives in a 2 bedroom apartment, her second bedroom has French doors off the living room making it dual purpose.
She loves that is is s smaller community and more personable. Again, the staff treats her very well which gives my entire family comfort.
My mom has lived there for a few months now. She has a two bedroom apartment. Lives independently at this time but if this would change we can change her level of care. Her second bedroom has french doors off the living room making it dual purpose. We have a sofa sleeper in there so if needed for guests it is there otherwise the doors are open and the room is an extension of her living room.
She loves that is is s smaller community and more personable. Everyone is very friendly, both staff and others living there. Some activities, my mom is a night person so she would like more evening activities. They have transportation to shopping, outings and appointments if needed.
Well kept, beautiful building. After living in her own home for so long the adjustment went very well . Everyone made her feel so welcomed.
My father has been a resident here since 2012 and we have been very pleased with decision . There are many choices for seniors but we felt this was a close community with a deep sense of caring for the individual. "In Christ's Love, Everyone is Someone" reads a modest sign in the quaint lobby. This appears to be a consistent practice, not just a motto written by the home office. The staff, including the kitchen service and housekeeping personnel, all have demonstrated great care and attention to my father as his needs are increasing with each year. With the addition of Assisted Living, seniors will find a higher level of care without the need to move to another facility. The cost is less than that of other organizations we visited and have found, for us, that Heritage Place is ideal. At age 93, my father has met many kind people at the dinner table, discovered he likes chair yoga, and routinely gives everyone the business. He is content and I am grateful.
I moved my parents into Heritage a little over 2 years ago. I am very happy that this is the place we chose. The staff is always very kind and helpful. I know they are safe there - and have easily made friends with all the residents. The staff calls me immediately if something is different or they have any concerns. The dinning room is great and the food choices offered if you don't want the "daily" lunch are very good. It is nice that people can have a choice at lunch time. The building is always clean and they do a lot of events for the residents as well as their families.
