I had not run a marathon in25 years. At age 50 I asked Vicki if she thought I could run a marathon again. If course, she said sure and set me on a path to success. With her training I recovered faster with less pain than when I was 25. So I ran another one the next year.I subsequently ran my 5th marathon at 55 and my 6th at 60! In between I askedVicki if she thought I could do a half iron and of course, she said sure. So at 58 I completed the half iron and recovered faster than the marathons. I ain’t asking her if I could do a full ironman but if I did I know she would get me thorough It. Vicki Ostendorf is the smartest, safest trainer to work with. I could go on...
Vicki and her her team were instrumental in helping me train for my first Ironman race and are helping me as I’m making plans to do it again. They are helpful and knowledgeable and aren’t “mega gym” type cookie cutter training. They listen and worked with me where I was at.
I just spent the weekend at a running course with a great crew of folks and am glad I made the trip. As a Physical therapist, it was great to have someone show me my deficits so I can improve my running game and show me where I’m missing the mark. Not only did they do that but also they ran me through a list of new exercises to help me improve my game. I made a new 2 mile PR while here and have a whole new program to add to my training program. Imagine how efficient I will be in another year! Can’t wait to show you as I make my gains! Thank you for the warm welcome, humorous moments and education!
Vicki goes far above and beyond in her role as a trainer, she’s definitely a coach to me. She has the experience, she’s out there doing all this herself. She also has the expertise to know what it takes to keep athletes reaching their personal best. Most of all, Vicki really cares that they reach them. She helping me figure out how to get past whatever obstacles I have in the way.
I can’t thank Vicki enough!!
I met with Vicki for a video analysis of my swim technique. She is a very good teacher! Her video demonstrated what was wrong with my swim stroke, and during the 30 minutes she gave me instruction and practice drills for correcting the stroke. I look forward to meeting with her again to prepare for open water!
