It was a great place to go for a picnic and hanging out at the beach!
It's a really nice beach, great for kids swimming and a family picnic or bbq. There are a couple cons though. There's a specific staff member who seems to get a kick out of harassing people about floating devices. He will tell you your kids floaties are not allowed. The entry to the swim area is a bit rocky, hurt your feet so definitely invest in swim shoes. There are only a couple grills for cooking way up by the parking lot and away from the beach and there are only about 8 benches near the beach but you are allowed to bring your own grill. Pets aren't allowed but I see dogs here all the time. Lots of boats and jetski zooming by which is kinda nice to see. There are public restrooms, a bit dirty but hey it's a restroom. We've never used the swing/play area but it seems nice and good size. Parking is $5 unless you park on the street and walk. Pretty good walk from the street so.. we pay $50 for the season as we frequently visit this beach. We often see the icecream truck pull up so bring some cash if you leave your wallet in the car. Plenty of parking for boat trailers as well. Overall its really nice but there is that one kid that loves to wipe the smile off your kids face by telling you they can't use their cool new floaty.
Very nice beach and kids play area
And fishing point.
Water clean and beach is never too crowded. The walk from the pay lot is a bit long for my preferences, esp the return to car since it is all uphill. A lot to watch with the boats, jet skis, speed boats with huge rafts in tow. Few private docks close by and boat launching down the way make for a hum of activity.
Very nice, clean, safe park. Lots of amenities. Covered pavilions to rent, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball, modern playground, fishing pier, seasonal rentable slips, community gatherings and public boat launch. We are regular visitors to this park and love it!
