New Spirit United Church of Christ

I have found my new church home at New Spirit! Thankful that this church is here, south of the river, for folks like me. If you are looking for a small, liberal church where love & acceptance are real, you may want to check out New Spirit.

I went there for the first time last Sunday. Everyone was so welcoming! What I liked about this church is that it is not huge. It just felt comfortable.

I love it here. They're very LGBTQIA+ friendly and inclusive. Gender neutral restrooms, wheelchair accessible with a lift/small elevator to get upstairs, accomodating of different dietary needs, and always willing to learn more ways to be inclusive. It's an awesome, safe space.

New Spirit UCC is an Open and Affirming congregation with a rainbow banner perched high in the steeple! New Spirit is known for its welcoming, kind, and loving attitude.

Friendly and welcoming! Maybe the only Christian church south of the river that really practices Christianity: everyone is welcome regardless of your ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, economic status, or anything else. Questions are welcomed and you won't be judged!
