Afton House Inn, Historic

We had a great time celebrating our 50th anniversary. The room was nice and the staff were awesome. We had a leak in the hot tub so we couldn't use it the second night. But when we got back from shopping there was a bottle of champagne and an apology for the inconvenience. Super 👍👍

Was a very fun place to eat at. People made it fun and service was great. Food was real good also.

Had the most pleasant stay at the beautiful Afton Historic House. It has plenty of “historic” charm while still providing the right modern amenities. We look for and love hot tubs and do not typically care about whirlpool tubs BUT this one was totally different! It was huge and had great jets. Also the bar and restaurant in the same building was an awesome addition. Loved being able to walk to the great views of the river! Also really enjoyed our private deck.

The Afton house is was amazing, The room was very clean and wonderful with a delicious bottle of Champaign waiting for us. The restaurant was also very good. The entire staff is amazing. We would highly suggest visiting the Afton House Inn!

My wife and I stayed here for a few days in the winter and were lucky enough to have the entire inn to ourselves as we stayed during the week. Everything about our experience was top notch. The staff was there for anything and everything we needed. The included breakfast was phenomenal each morning and made fresh upon our arrival to the dining room.

The staff really went above and beyond to make this getaway even better than we would have ever expected. At one point late at night I had called to ask if it would be possible for me to come down to get a bucket of ice not knowing the manager was off-site. I told him it wasn't a big deal and not to worry about it but he responded by coming back over to the inn and delivering a bucket of ice directly to my room. Not many places will go above and beyond like this to please their customers.

The inn is beautiful with very cozy rooms. The gigantic hot tub large enough for two in our room was such a relaxing addition to an already peaceful experience.

We knew ahead of time that the on-site restaurants would all be closed during our stay (one downside of the time of year and days of the week that we stayed) but would have loved to enjoy the opportunity to eat at them. We will have to make a return trip so we can check them out and we're ok with that!

Location is great! We were close to so many fun little towns - we spent part of each day in a different town and had enjoyed each of them.

Looking forward to returning for a summer stay to take advantage of the other available experiences we missed on this trip. 10/10
