(July 14, 2020, 8:55 am)Forest Lake Fire & Rescue came out to assist at a fire at our farm on May 5, 2018. They partnered with the Scandia Fire & Rescue, Marine on St. Croix Fire & Rescue, and the DNR.
The firefighters all worked extremely hard on a very hot afternoon (in the 80s) and with a moderate wind which made putting out the fire challenging. Everyone was so polite and respectful; and were thorough with their work so secondary fires would not happen - especially with the buildings that were burned (completely or partially).
The other time I saw Forest Lake Fire & Rescue was at a Fall Festival in Columbus. Several men from Forest Lake Fire & Rescue demonstrated the use of equipment needed in an extrication. It was a fascinating demonstration, and they were eager to answer questions that my family and I had about the rescue process.
