I had a very experienced CPA handling my audit. However, he had handled only two audits previously, and it became increasingly clear he was in over his head. One 15 minute phone call, and Dan told me EXACTLY how to get the wage garnishment removed. I followed exactly his advice and the wage garnishment was removed immediately and my paychecks from that point on were no longer garnished. Then Dan walked me through, step by step, how to fill out all the forms needed for an Offer in Compromise with the IRS. He also helped me understand all the paperwork that I needed to assemble for this process. I had not filed a tax return for over 10 years and finally the IRS started forcefully taking money from me with that first wage garnishment. Despite my personal feelings about the IRS and tax law, I knew I needed to come into "compliance" with the demands of the IRS. I had a friend help me file the 10 years of back tax returns. After submitting the Offer in Compromise to the IRS, it took about 9 months until they sent me a letter accepting my offer. The IRS claimed I owed over $70,000 in back taxes, but they accepted my Offer in Compromise for $300. This was all due to Dan's help in walking me through this process. I am so grateful for Dan's knowledge and expertise about the inner workings of the IRS. I am now free to pursue my own business and not be in fear of going to the mailbox to find a scary IRS letter.
