Friendly staff. Have always had a good experience at this location.

There were two ladies hard at work when I went in to do a title transfer. Both were super knowledgeable and professional. It’s a small space so I could hear them both go the extra mile to make sure customers understood why something was wrong. The woman who helped me explained my entitlements as a 100% service connected veteran. I ended up getting free registration and plates. They need a new mascot— the sloth is not accurate!

I Have a share a great experience I just had at the Monticello DMV this morning. dmv Monticello MN. I went in to transfer Specialty license plates to our vehicle and renew the registration for both cars, I was not happy going into the DMV because to renew the registration it was an astonishing $562 per vehicle 🙄 I was talking to the very kind and courteous lady and she noticed I was military (retired of course) I told her how outrageous the fee’s were and being a disabled vet she said I think the law just changed this month… she took some additional time to research and found that effective Jan 2024, there is NO cost for 100% disabled veterans to renew the registration 😮 this lady went out of her way to provide excellent customer service and I am not just saying that because she saved me about $1200 today. I want to thank her and the staff at the Monticello DMV for the kind,courteous and amazing service they always provide!

Absolutely the best DMV around in Minnesota!!! Went in the renew my vehicles tabs and walked in and walked out in less than 5 minutes! I didn’t even need an appointment like the ones closer to the cities!! Highly recommend this location and all the hard work done by the employees at this location!! Y’all rock!!!
