“Mathew Meschke, came to my home and asked I he could inspect my roof for hail damage because a very severe storm had been in this area a few months earlier and several of my neighbors had needed to file insurance claims to get their roofs repaired. I didn’t think that I had any roof damage, and I wasn’t interested but Mathew was so professional, knowledgeable, patient and kind that I finally agreed that he and I would go up on my roof and inspect it together. Once we were on the roof Mathew showed me that my roof did in fact have hail damage and that his company Meschke Construction, would help me with my insurance claim and all the necessary repairs. I asked many questions because I had never filed an insurance claim for a major repair to my home and I had heard horror stories of companies taking advantage of customers. But every concern I brought up Mathew addressed and put me at ease. So, I signed an agreement with Meschke Construction (that I could back out of in the first three days if I changed my mind) and Mathew assured me that if the insurance company did not honor my claim that I did not have to honor this contract or move forward with these repairs at this time and this contract with Meschke Construction for my homes hail damage repair would be voided. Then Mathew helped me schedule an appointment with my Farmers insurance adjuster and when the adjuster came to my home Mathew was with me and the adjuster and the adjuster did in fact find hail damage and wrote up a claim for my roof to be repaired. Mathew then introduced me to the other people at Meschke Construction who would be responsible for the various processes to get my claim repairs completed, for example he introduced me to Jason who would be a liaison, between me, Meschke Construction, and Farmers Insurance, Jake and Greg who oversaw the crew scheduling and Luke who was the general manager. The whole team at Meschke Construction including Brandon, Katie and even Michael, who oversees estimates, helped me through the process on getting my repairs done by keeping me informed, following through and addressing weather issues insurance glitches when they arose while still working to ensure that my repairs were completed at the highest quality. Now to date all the repairs to my home have been completed and the insurance claim paid, for several months now, and I couldn’t be happier.”

“There was a significant hail storm in my small town of Northfield recently. Russ Zastavskiy from Hallmark stopped by my house later that day to introduce himself and offer Hallmark's services. Although I'm quite cautious with sales persons, I decided to take a chance with Russ and am very grateful I did. He took photos of my roof and siding, submitted claims to the insurance company (and regularly followed up with them), arranged to install a new roof in short order, and -- most importantly -- checked to see if I was fully satisfied at each step. I generally was -- the roof looks great! -- but, as an example of his customer service, the roofers accidentally damaged an (inexpensive) mini-fence I had around the A/C unit to keep the dog away. When I relayed this to Russ, he drove to Menards to find the exact replacement. While there, Russ also picked up some brown paint to color the pre-existing flashing to match the roof -- this was unrelated to the repair that Hallmark was doing and was just a kind thing to do. I got the sense that Russ was in my corner at each step of the process and would definitely use Russ/Hallmark again if I experience any future damage to the house. Highly, highly recommended!”

“I had storm damage to my roof and needed to find a contractor to replace it. I had two other contractors do inspections but could tell immediately that they were sales people and were just telling me what I wanted to hear, so I was hesitant to go with them. My neighbor had Maus Construction replace his roof and the crew did an amazing and thorough job. It took them 2 full days and they didn't take any shortcuts. I talked with the owner, Dan Maus, and could immediately tell he knew what he was doing and wasn't there just to make a quick buck like the storm chasers do. He actually cares about the workmanship and only uses quality materials and does the job right. Even though every house in the neighborhood had their roofs replaced due to hail damage from that storm, my insurance company was pretty hard to deal with and they didn't want to cover the claim. The storm damage was legitimate so Dan met with the insurance adjuster three separate times and eventually got them to cover it. The roof was replaced about 3 weeks after we signed the contract. It took 2 days and the crew did a really good job. Either Dan or his business partner were on the job throughout the installation and they keep me informed the entire time. After construction was complete they finished the paperwork with the insurance company so the entire process was very easy. I am really glad we went with Maus Construction and wouldn't hesitate to go with them again. I also appreciate the follow up after they finished the job. The attached picture is with the new roof, but I had a different contractor install the solar.”
