Sunrise Nursing & Memory Care

I cannot say enough about this facility and the staff. They opened a new 800 hall all women memory care unit. While this has been the hardest thing I've ever had to do, trusting my loved one to strangers, they have gone out of their way to make this transition as easy as possible! Her room is beauful. With TV and apps provided. The food is good. The staff has been caring and attentive. She gets to go on 2 walks a day outside, they took her to do activities like bingo. I visited a few places, and by far, this was the best. It is not in close proximity, but the peace of mind of knowing she's safe, is worth it! Tanika has been great. She let me tour the facility prior to her being there, let me meet the other residents, stayed late even, and checks in on my mom daily. The staff on duty in the memory care, have been kind, and address most needs and called me to get my permission, when one of her friends wanted to take her out for ice cream, and also called me when she returned to let me know. Stephen, in the office has been so patient and helpful. His job is a lot, but he is there for you to get you through whatever needs to be done. My mom took a very sudden and rapid decline, and we were completely blindsided by all of this. Kristy is an advocate for placement, and oversees I think, about 8 facilities. She was my lifeline through this process. She is honest, and truly cares. I am so grateful to everyone involved . I highly recommend Kristy and this facility.

Newer management that have already made drastic changes in the building. I have worked in the therapy department here for 12 years and would highly recommend taking a tour and meeting the staff before making any decisions for rehabilitation/ long term care based on negative past reviews. There will always be unmet expectations, however, drastic changes have been made at Sunrise and we look forward to meeting you!

I have been the Business Office Manager since September 2022 and I am happy to work here. The previous ownership, Polaris, ran this place into the ground and were highly unethical so we have had alot to overcome. However I have seen major changes since the new ownership took over in December 2022.

Having worked in this industry for 15 years I can tell you that we have the same issues any other nursing home had but unlike other places Ive worked I would put my father here for rehab or long term care.

As an industry we need changes in how we do business but nobody wants to pay for Medicaid, certainly not in Missouri, so we have to work within those confines. Some buildings and ownership do better than others but frankly most are pretty bad.

As the current Administrator, I love this building and I wish to welcome everyone to a new management team as well as return this facility to a Raymore area trusted site. We are determined to provide quality care for your loved ones. Please welcome our new team....

My great aunt lives here and loves it! The building is always clean and the staff are so kind. Management is very responsive and everyone treats her like family!
