(January 27, 2019, 10:00 pm)My family stayed a week at Morrell Ranch. Before arriving, the staff was pleasant and helpful. We called many times with many questions because we wanted our family vacation to be perfect. They we're always helpful an accommodating. When we arrived, July 2018, we thought the place was absolutely beautiful. We rented 3 cabins and
pitched a tent. The website advertised a pool and horseback riding. There were also campfire rings that we prepared to use. As my family arrived from California, Oklahoma, and Indiana we were excited to begin our vacation. After we had all checked in we were told that the pool was not in use. The website still advertised it and in no phone conversation where we told it was not in working order so with five grandchildren that was a big disappointment. Then we wanted to purchase wood for a campfire and we were told that was not to happen because they were under a burn order. That we understood. They could not help that. Our days were filled with laughter, fishing, boating and being together. The office felt badly about not being able to do campfires so they called the owner and he let us have full run of the ranch and the fireplace which we lit and made smores. We appreciated that very much. Our grandchildren had lots of fun. Then it was our horseback riding day. We had arranged for the adult women to go first and then the children go next. But because of lack of employees they could only take two people at a time. That disappointed us because we wanted to share that together. So the women did not go just the children. But again I have to say they were very kind and apologetic. the environment is absolutely beautiful and we do recommend Morrell Ranch. Just make sure to ask all questions prior to arriving. I notice they still advertise the pool. Our family had a great time there and it would be a place we would return to again.
(January 2, 2019, 7:16 pm)The ranch is absolutely breathtaking. The only reason why I didn't give a 5 star review is because Amanda could use a lot more help managing the ranch. I feel like with how large the area is they may need more staff. I had my wedding here and Amanda provided a lot of help with converting from ceremony to reception. She was amazing. Overall, it is a truly gorgeous place and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
