Finish Line Cafe

I love this place. It's about 35 minutes away from us.. maybe more, but I still ask to go here for my birthday, mothers, etc. I love the simplicity, the home town goodness, and the dog friendly patio.

Dining in experience was great! If you want hometown food at a moderate price, large portions, an overall service experience, this is the place. They were short handed the night I went - one lady all tables. But they way she served each person as a person was phenomenal.

I don't usually leave a review for anything but we ordered dinner from here tonight for the first time since my kitchen hood fan won't be delivered for a week. I'm a good cook, by many peoples opinions, so it's hard to enjoy a meal out. Know this! This place exceeds in taste, portion, & personality.!! I had the cod (YUM), with the potato wedges with REAL bacon, NOT bits! Unbelievable! Hubby had the roast beef with baked potato. Not one bit was left from our plate. Often thought of opening my own dining establishment. If I had, this would be it!

Have passed by here many times and finally stopped in for breakfast. We were greeted with a "Good Morning" as soon as we stepped in the door a sure hometown vibe. The place is neat and clean with additional seating on a covered pavilion outdoors. Breakfast was the usual diner menu..eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancakes etc. My omelet was full of very tasty ham and was nice and fluffy my husband got eggs over medium with bacon and hashbrowns. Both of our meals were good and cooked just right, the toast could have been crispier but I find that with a lot of restaurants. Price is comparable to other small towns in our area so not a bad deal for the money.

This is a great place to get out of STL. Right in between STL and St Clair off hwy 30 in Lonedale. The food is great. We had the burger. YUM. I love the potato wedges. Excellent. A must go place. We will be back!!
