What a great place. This place, their nurses, and the entire staff was wonderful. The first impression ... I walked through their doors ... and it smelled NORMAL. It did not smell like urine (like a lot of homes) and it did not smell like pine-sol (to cover the smell up). It is a well-maintained nursing home. When we were visiting, the nurses made a point to come in and introduce themselves.
Staff is very kind and treats residents like family. For a short stay or long term care there is no better place. Management is compassionate and caring towards the residents and the staff. Warm greetings from the front desk through therapy and nursing care. Truly no other like community in the area.
My husband left Mercy Hospital after hip replacement. He was transported to Union Care Center for Rehab. It is by far the best nursing home I have ever been associated with. The entire staff is fabulous. They are loving, caring and like a family. Somehow they received a 1 rating which was totally underserved. They should have a 4 or 5 rating and we give them a 5. I can’t give enough praise to this facility.
I have been working at Union Care Center for almost a year. What I have found are down to earth people. Since we are living in the Covid times, I know times have been trying but they have only made us stronger. Our CNAs, Nurses, Housekeeping, Dietary and all the rest of us, pull in as a team for the residents sake. No matter the struggle, we try to provide the best care to them because they deserve it. This is their world and we are just living in it to hopefully make it better for them. I unbiased give this place 5 stars, as when I had my interview they were already giving me open arms. It has not shown me any different. ❤
I have been working at this facility for a year now. We are learning and growing in our jobs but we love the residents and want the very best for them. My family and I just recently added my grandma as one of our residents. She is adjusting well and everyone loves her. She gets therapy and love from the staff. If there were issues, they/ we are working hard to make this the best place to bring a loved one.
