“It's a good workout, but (and maybe this is just me), it's easy to get lost, so more trail markers would be helpful.”

“When I was younger, my dad and I used to come out here. It didn't matter to us what the weather or season was. We would bundle up if necessary and hike down a trail. Our favorite spot was sitting right above the cave. He passed away a few years back but now my son and I do our best to keep up the tradition. As long as you clean up after yourself, it's a wonderful space to enjoy the beauty of nature.”

“Kid loved it and a decent amount of shade. He is two and a little young family r the playground but as long I was up there with him he found things to do. There is a skatepark, tennis courts, and some baseball diamonds. The really nice thing is if you get a fishing license you can fish in the stocked water feature. Lots of families using the park as it is one of the nicer parks in Raytown.”

“This was my first visit to Lakeside Nature Center. I was surprised by how nice it was in there. It's worth the visit just to see the bald eagles! So majestic. I knew they did great work with injured wild animals but I had no idea how interesting it would be to visit. I know they do special events for children on Saturdays so if you're a parent of younger children and haven't been there, make sure you check it out.”

“I remember the explosion from when I was a teen, maybe earlier. I wanted to drive by it, see it, and pay respects internally. Beautiful area to have it located. Easy access to highways 71 435 & 470. I didnt even realize it exists until just recently. If you're from here, you should go. If you're from out of state, it's a quick stop and great for pictures.”
