Mr. Sushi and Japanese Steakhouse

This used to be one of our favorite little “hidden gems” for a cheap lunch. You could do the lunch hibachi special for around $5. The floors were carpeted and the places didn’t look great but the food was always good. I went in for the first time in over a year (due to COVID) and was shocked at all the improvements they made!! They place looks so different, very upscale! The prices are a little higher but totally worth the improved atmosphere! The service and quality / taste are still top notch so I can’t recommend Mr Sushi highly enough - especially if you haven’t been since all the updating.

Look here’s the thing, the food, it’s great. But the service…ouch. In the busy times they are lacking a host or hostess to keep thing organized. Many people are running around with their heads cut off and you’re unsure if your name is really on the list. Want something to drink? Water, soda or otherwise…you should ration it because you’re probably not getting a refill. My family loves this place and like I said the food is great, but the service could definitely use some help

I gotta be honest, you never know what to expect when you come to these places. I was pleasantly surprised! Nice open concept dining. Great flavors, better than usual. Great portions. And last but not least, really Great service. The staff was very friendly and everyone seemed to be in a great mood. I will definitely come back.
