  I remember when they first opened this place up where the old Wendy's used to be. Great food. Always loved looking at all the trophies on display. Excellent BBQ Nachos. I wish I still lived down the street from it. This is a good BBQ joint, folks.

  Really good BBQ. The brisket was outstanding and the burnt ends were pretty good too. Beans could use a bit more meat, but were quite tasty. Fries were great. My lunch companion's turkey looked good. Not much ambiance - building (obviously) used to be a Wendy's, but who goes to a BBQ joint for ambiance? Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality.

  Had the Stockyards combo (brisket and sausage) with green beans and potato salad and some ribs. The smoke in the meat was VERY tasty and the ribs just fell of the bone. The spicy BBQ sauce was not as hot as expected but had a really good flavor. The KC Crossroads sauce was my favorite. Service was very quick and very friendly. Seemed to be a very well run place, and I'd definitely recommend it!

  My daughter and I went for a late lunch around 3:00. That may explain why I gave it a 4 instead if 5 star rating.
  We ordered the Royal Crown combo to split. It comes with 4 (baby back) ribs, some pulled pork, brisket and 2 sides. There are several sides that sounded good, we went with fries and baked beans. The fries were hot and fresh. We used them to sample the available sauces, which were all good. The pulled pork was hot and smokey. There were 4 ribs served on a piece of toast. They were pretty good, no complaints. The brisket was less than hot and didn't have as much flavor as I expected. The beans has pieces of meat mixed in, and we're also hot and smokey. We appreciated the extra tray and silverware they brought out with our food, since we were splitting the meal. My only minor complaint was the brisket didn't seem as fresh and flavorful as I hoped. I do attribute that more to the time of day more than anything. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. There was more than enough food for two people included in the combo, making it a good value.
