“The staff was incredibly patient with my excited group which included two under the age of 7. The kids went from area to area exploring and having fun. We all wrote a note to be sent to a student from Namibia and made rain sticks. We even laughed while basically sifting through trash (recycling lesson). It was a wonderful experience that kids should get to have.”

“Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable guide, interesting tour, beautiful historic home; loved all the original art and furnishings. Thomas Hart Benton's studio feels like he just left it yesterday. The home is not so huge that you get tired walking around in it. Our visit gave us a wonderful overview of the life, family and art of Thomas Hart Benton: highly recommended.”

“For a small museum it certainly has a lot items to peak your interest. They have books, T-shirts and hats for sale and reasonably priced. The fee to get into the museum is also very reasonable. It is easy find and the parking is free. There are a variety of restaurants close by to eat at. A very educational way of educationing children about the past.”

“The bridge is taken care of tremendously. They now have boxes to put your keys in that they will use to make a monarch butterfly statue. It truly is a special place within the city. So precious that my stepson proposed to his wife there.”

“We enjoyed a full day at the Engelwood Art District yesterday! We enjoyed our first visit to the world renowned fun and interactive Puppetry Arts Institute for a tour with Craig and Ann. They were so welcoming and Craig, made the girls laugh as he showed the girls one of his favorite puppets - he is great with the kids! The girls loved playing with the puppets and we will go back to make a puppet! Highly recommend taking a tour, signing your kids up for the puppetry camp this week and meeting the delightful owners! Thanks to Ann and Craig for a great time!”

“A fabulous museum! You learn quite a lot about Truman. The replica Oval Office is very well done. While the seasonal gallery was interesting as it was about Truman’s family. The mini activities spread throughout were also fun. Honestly, If you enjoy history, there’s no reason you wouldn’t like this museum. To conclude, it should take under two hours to explore. This is assuming you decide to skip the documentaries. Also, be sure to buy items at the gift shop as they’re relatively cheap and support the museum.”

“Lots of information displayed with colorful art and old photos. The film on the website was not being shown, and the interactive materials needed repairs. The two board books about why people took the trails west, for example, had pages that were hard to turn.”
