“My children have been students at The Daniel Academy since 2008 and I have been a teacher there since 2009. I can't say enough to recommend this school both as a parent and as a teacher. As a parent, my children have thrived here both academically and spiritually. I never have to worry about my kids because I know they will be well cared for by the teachers and even by their friends. Here the kids are taught not only the facts about the Bible, but the practicals of how to live the stuff they learn in the Bible like loving one another and loving God well. I love that that The Daniel Academy teaches the facts of the Bible but also chooses to emphasize encounter with God as a primary focus. Academically this school challenges the kids to excellence and gives them all the tools they need to achieve this! As a teacher, I am continually encouraged by the administration and their leadership. They go far beyond an average boss and actually show love and compassion for the staff. They encourage us to go deep in the word and share our love of the Lord with the students. The atmosphere they create allows teachers to feel the freedom needed to teach and love students well. You will never find a better school!”

“Things are going well for the 2017 School Year. The Principal, Mrs. Merrell is fantastic. I love how she interacts with the student body and makes everyone feel included. The people in the office are kind and caring but are also dedicated to the safety and security of the students. They have a tough job to do and I appreciate how seriously the office staff is about ensuring that each child is where they should be. If there is ever any question about anything, I get a call. If my child has an injury, I get a call. If my child is having a problem or doing an outstanding job, I get a call.Communication is excellent. Teachers send out email notices and the Principal sends out a reliable monthly newsletter. The PTA is a bit unique in that they are mostly interested in money over volunteering but at least they are up front about it. Changes are communicated by phone, text, email, and flyers are sent home with children. With the challenges that today's schools are faced with, they are doing a great job. Most things are very well organized. We are having a positive experience, and so far my child loves Hazel Grove.”

“Rising sun has been great for my kiddo! She dreaded her other daycare and would throw daily tantrums when I would drop her off and be a hot mess when I picked her up. Changing her to this center was a change that should have been done a LONG time ago. She looks forward to going and enjoys being there. The teachers and staff love on these kiddos like they are their own! Even though this place is out of my way and a little further of a drive for me, I wouldn’t have it any other way! I could go on and on! Highly recommend checking it out!!”

“My daughter expressed interest in playing ukulele at age 7 and, not knowing whether it would "stick" or not, I just Googled "Ukulele Kansas City" and came across KC Rock Band and Guitar, which was close to our home. From the first call with Laura Lee to inquire about lessons, I knew this would be a great experience. Laura Lee and her husband, Matt, are the owners and teachers and generally wonderful people. All of the teachers are fantastic - my daughter now takes ukulele and voice lessons - and it is the most fun, least pressure environment you fill find. They encourage children and support them and find common interest in popular music that makes everyone want to practice more! It's not just popular music, though - all of the teachers are very skilled in what they do and are such talented performers themselves. In over 2 years of weekly lessons, my daughter has never once complained about going. She loves it and so do we!”
