Steak 'n Shake

The staff were very friendly through the drive-thru. Our chili 5 ways (actually was 4 ways, because we had them hold the onions) came out hot, and remained hot until we got home to eat it. We enjoy the taste of it and would recommend it.

Plenty of seating, there's a kiosk at the front to place your order with detailed instructions and the staff are available if you need help. One kiosk is cash or debit the other is credit. My daughter ordered a hamburger with fries and a banana milk shake! I ordered the garlic butter double stack burger with onion rings and a Dr. Pepper. It was a little pricey but it was in walking distance from our hotel so totally worth not having to get back in the car to search for food! Enjoy!

I’m sure it will take time to change some things with the new system. I used to like grilled onions on my melt but the system didn’t have that option, I probably could have requested it apart from the order. But overall the system was much better there. Steak ‘n shake has been known for overworking their employees. My twin sister used to work at one and I sent her pictures of the new look and she said it looks much better. I do think they should have the option for an employee to take the order too, but overall much better than waiting for an overworked waitress. Before they were required to seat people, take orders, fill drinks etc… make the shakes and cash out. The drive thru was responsible for taking orders, making orders, making shakes and cashing out people inside as well. It wasn’t a great system. Today we were in and out in 45 min and the food was correct!
