    We didnt get to go in the haul but checked out the nagel base. May try to take our scouts to camp there.

    Great, if you like horses. I reccomend staying in the adirondacks as high up as possible. You will enjoy the sunrise.

    Great place, son earning boy scout merit badge in horsemanship. The staff is professional, hands on, experienced, awesome group.

    It's a Boy Scout cabin, not a Drury Inn. Overall, this cabin exceeds expectations. It has running water, a gas-powered furnace, and an electric water heater. Don't be fooled -- the latrines are still outside. Comfortably slept, fed, and entertained a group of 30+.

    Nagel Explorer Base is one of the great gems at Beaumont Scout Reservation. It is at the far south end of the reservation. Our scout troop has camped here several times in the winter.

    The scouts did great in the 3 wall “Adirondack” type shelters while the most of the adults stayed in the cabin. The cabin has a huge fireplace and nice kitchen, too.

    We have also enjoyed the fall hayrides at Nagel as well as the horseback rides.

    Note: Beaumont is private property for use only by Scouting programs.
