We went to Indian Creek Lake for the sole purpose of kayaking. There were a few other people there fishing. Otherwise completely peaceful and serene. If you’re looking to enjoy some solitude and scenic beauty this is a great place! Lots of trees through which to navigate. I was deeply disappointed that the women’s bathroom was not in usable condition. It didn’t appear that it had been serviced for quite some time (mounds of paper and trash on the floor) - filthy and the insects flying around the toilet made it a big “no” for using. I knew to expect primitive facilities so that wasn’t the issue here. The only negative to our day.
Conservation area. Lots of ponds to fish. Free camping allowed in certain areas and even have an equestrian camp area. Trails to ride your horses. Very nice area.
Awesome place to horseback ride on trails that are very well taken care of. Direction. To get there are a bit hard if you're directionally challenged.
