  We engaged David's company to complete several facets of home renovation and were very pleased with the results. During the estimate process, David was very thorough in his evaluation and his pricing was very competitive. He demonstrated his experience and knowledge as a contractor by offering various ideas and options that made our decision making process easier. As the project moved forward, we found both David and his crew to be dependable and hard working and David made himself available to us at all times. We were impressed with the quality of the work. For one large piece of the job, David even went above and beyond by utilizing expert Amish craftsmen to complete the work with no additional cost to us. Overall, we had a positive experience and appreciated the professional, personal management that David provided and we would use his firm again in the future.

  My company is currently involved in a very difficult high end addition and remodel. Reclaimed beams for the kitchen and family room were desired by the owners and American Antique Woods was retained to provide them. Needless to say on a 75year old home exact measurements and plans are rare. Dave personally made sure that all product was exactly as needed for the job going so far as to remedy a error that was none of his doing in any way what so ever to ensure the satisfaction of the owners. We fully intend on retaining Dave and American Antique Woods for any project that would need their services and feel very confident to refer them to anyone. 10 stars if it was a option!!

  This product makes for a drop dead beautiful floor. We were a little nervous ordering flooring out of state, but after looking everywhere, Dave had the best prices on reclaimed flooring and we loved what we saw on his website. He has great communication and our flooring came just as ordered with no problems. Once we figured out to use a floor jack installation went smoothly. It is a more difficult installation (requires some know how) compared to prefab floors - but the end result is so impressive. We finished it in dark Tung oil (we purchased from The Real Milk Paint Co) and it looks incredible.
  A couple of installation tips - start the flooring with the groove side facing your starting wall, use a floor jack, and if using nails, pilot holes to prevent splitting. If you want a more uniform board height, you will want to bevel the edges of the planks (create grooves) before installation. (there may be some height differences between planks when using reclaimed wood). We did not install the floor with grooves and there is a tiny height difference between some of the planks, but it looks great and feels fine when you walk on it. It's part of the charm of a reclaimed floor.
  Dave is great person to do business with and if we ever need a floor we will be doing this all over again. Best looking floor ever!!

  Recently bought some reclaimed wood from them for a large project I'm working on. These guys are trustworthy and their product is great. Had no problems from start to finish and got a great price! At the last minute, I needed to add on to our order, but this wasn't a problem for them. Total pros!
