(January 16, 2023, 3:02 pm)Went to a wedding yesterday (Sunday Jan. 15 2023) at the venue near the historic Daniel Boone home. It was gorgeous. The houses were beautiful and so was the little white chapel. I live in the city and don’t get go out in nature often, but this was really nice. It was quiet and green. Lots of birds in the trees too!
(September 26, 2022, 9:14 am)Beautiful fall day. Spent about 2 hours walking the free tour. Guided tour was inexpensive. Friendly knowledgeable staff.

(September 8, 2022, 10:50 pm)I always love coming out to this little plot of history...well kempt grounds, incredibly friendly staff, always met with a smile when I go snag my self guide tour map from the gift shop. It's both a nice, easy, scenic excercise that anyone both old and young could enjoy and a great way to learn about some more specific aspects of the pioneer times and how they incorporated themselves into the area. Much recommend the stop...the drive down 94 to get there is beautiful just in itself.
(June 29, 2022, 9:34 pm)Was able to drive the homestead instead of walking it- husband has issues walking with his cane for long distances. Very well kept grounds!! Sweet youbg ladies working in the gift shop and provides tours.
(June 10, 2022, 6:55 am)This was a really beautiful place. We also found the optional tour was well worth the price. Dennis treated us like VIPs. He was VERY knowledgeable and quite personal. This is a place definitely worth visiting!
