Never had oysters until this night on this kind of level. We got so many at the direction of my buddy and my natural taste preferences. I was blown away at much I enjoyed the food and the experience. We ate outside on the patio and it would’ve been freezing but the heat lamps were on so it was not noticeable. I can’t wait to go back. I think we had fried gator as appetizers and then like 6 different oysters. My buddy paid since I was an “oyster virgin” until that day. Can’t wait to go back.
I decided to call in a to go order for after work, after receiving a great recommendation. As soon as I walk in, I could immediately tell this place was something special. The atmosphere had a vibe straight out of New Orleans and the staff was very welcoming, directing me right to the bar for pickup. My order was ready right on time, even though it was placed hours earlier. When I arrived home, my order was still hot. The fried oysters with a side of spicy tartar sauce and lemon wedges were the best we'd ever had. The house soup, a chunky crawdad bisque with a cajun muffin on the side, was deliciously unique and like nothing I'd ever had before I highly recommend the carryout, but I have a suspicion the dine-in experience would be even better. BOB definitely seems like it'd be a fun place to hang out with a group of friends, especially during the $1 happy hour.
Five star rating is well deserved! Ordered a few drinks along with the crab cakes and a lobster Po Boy, my first ever!! Both were so delicious. Also had the stuffed avocados, they sound good for avocado lovers like myself, but actually aren't the best. Stick to everything else and your good to go!
Me and some friends went out to enjoy our night off in St. Louis and we're told to check out Oyster bar! Best restaurant and even better customer service! The live band was refreshing, soulful, and overall fun. The staff is super friendly and the kitchen can get DOWN with the food all in a timely manner; our waitress, Carly, made our experience 10 times more enjoyable.
I don't remember the name of our waiter, unfortunately, but he was a bald headed gentleman that was incredibly helpful, nice, and polite. Very friendly guy who had our drinks and food out very fast! I was having trouble deciding between a few different entrees, and he helped out which was much appreciated!
The food was very, very good. We're from out of town, but after the service and the food, we'll definitely be back next time we're in St Louis! The atmosphere was really cool and the service was great!
