(May 12, 2022, 12:40 pm)I fell in my kitchen and knew I was not going to get up without help. My husband dialed 911 - in under 10 minutes two firemen were in my kitchen with the stretcher. They could not have been more kind than they were. I am very grateful for the way they took care of me and got me to the emergency room with a minimum of pain and a lot of encouragement. Thanks also to the city of Kirkwood for the quality of men and equipment they provide to serve Kirkwood residents.

(September 17, 2021, 6:06 pm)More than just a fire station. It's in a way a fire protection museum. The office sits in the old engine bay. I remember this place when I was a kid. My first trip to this place was in 1969. The fire truck had about 6 to 10 steps leading all the way up to the cab.
