(August 3, 2022, 7:24 pm)Great park to relax at for a while. Fishing is good if you're up for some river fishing! The remodeled pavilion is great for hosting events, and the hiking trails are very well maintained!

(July 1, 2022, 5:31 pm)Wow such a cool little hidden gem. You can jump right in the meramec at this spot. I wouldn't suggest it though cause the water is very contaminated. This place is very clean and unique.

(May 25, 2021, 3:45 pm)A good hike. The name of the park on the sign says something different then possum woods but it is listed as that on the map. Its a quick short trail threw the woods 1-1.5 miles depending on route you take. Trail goes high on bluffs over looking meramec river. There are 2 old home ruin sites in the woods, a few geocaches. I've read this place was once a swimming pool area. Then an exotic animal habitat for the zoo now its a park. Has a nice Pavillion and bathrooms. Where u park there is also a old abandoned set of concrete steps to no where up the hill in the woods. Im guessing all pre 1950

(March 18, 2019, 9:53 am)we love going on the paved trails, and visiting the park at all points of the seasons. There's nothing about these trails there's anything less than fantastic. Being able to occasionally see deer pet friendly, and close the river to throw stones. A wonderful place for the whole family!
