I am very happy to recommend Rebecca to teach your child about music and to play the violin. My daughter took lessons with her for many years. She gave my daughter many challenging pieces and her progress was remarkable. Aside from music, my daughter
learned lessons in life through discussions with her after each lesson. As a parent, the most important criteria in choosing a teacher would be the skills but also the teacher's interest in the overall well-being of your child. Rebecca is that kind of a teacher who will inspire the student to learn and be happy while doing the work needed.
I studied under Ms. Rebecca Chung for about two years after six years with another teacher. In those two years, my knowledge of classical music and violin, which includes musicality, technicality, and theory, improved by a substantial amount. I learned more in those two years than the previous six!
All in all, she is a wonderful teacher. She explains everything carefully and patiently, making sure her students can play to the best of their ability. She pays attention to every minute detail, and is obvious that she does this with a passion. She is also incredibly kind, patient, and inspiring. If it isn't obvious enough, she is one of the best violin teachers you can find!
Ms Chung was a wonderful teacher. I was very impressed by her professionalism and her dedication to help her students improve. She was also very patient, and paid attention to details.
After my son began taking lessons with Ms Chung, I noticed that he drastically improved in both technique and musicality.
Had she not have moved away (out of state), we would have stayed with her for a long long time!
Rebecca Chung premiered numerous chamber arrangements and compositions written for our concert series in the last eight years.
Rebecca’s performances are so seamlessly delivered that it’s easy to forget how much expertise makes it possible. Her flawless tone, impeccable professionalism, and effective ensemble leadership are irreplaceable assets valuable to any project. She is a master at graciously uncovering what a composer wants and needs to deliver a new piece. With calm command, Rebecca elevates every piece to the highest level of artistry. Hiring Ms. Chung is a full-confidence decision.
Mrs. Chung taught 2 of my young children, Alex and Brandon, for 10 years. For the 10 years my sons were with her, I was so impressed by her unique way of teaching kids on violin. It is very thorough and instructive, yet fun and engaging for my sons to follow which helps to build a solid foundation and develop their interests and skills in violin playing. Mrs. Chung is very patient and knowledgeable in all aspects of violin playing who imparts good techniques and at the same time instills a lifelong appreciation of music. She is extremely professional and responsive, yet warm in her communication style. It is such a joy witnessing my sons learning the art of violin playing with her in a truly warm, personal and caring environment. I would highly recommend her to anyone who has always wanted to learn the violin.
