I have had the privilege of working in many communities. Lemay sets the standard for going above and beyond to ensure their family (residents) are given exceptional care. When the time comes for me to need a skilled community. Lemay is my first choice!
For starters they help me with my mom back in 2019 before She passed away with Cancer, I did have to worry about anything when it came to her care, routine labs, wound care and very professional nurses and staff. Now I brought my mom older sister at Lemay, I wish I done it sooner. I can rest at night knowing 😴 my aunt is in good hands 🙌 with good care. So if you want your love ones great care, we'll community care of Lemay is the place.
All I can say about CCC of Lemay, this is the best place in St. Louis for your love ones that need care that you can't provide. The staff actually do care about the people they care for, they don't act like they only care when family members and friends are around, it is all the time. My mom has been through alot and she finally is in a places that she comfortable in. Also the Director of Nursing is by far the best in her field. Also the Social Worker Tammy took the timeout to really helping me transition my mom from a very bad Nursing facility.
My grandmother was here many years ago. My mother is currently a resident. My mom has been suffering from manic depression / nowadays known as bipolar for decades.
The staff here that I and my immediate family members have encountered from top to bottom has been nothing but kind, accommodating, patient, understanding, and genuinely good hearted people. I feel they truly try to make these difficult situations sting a little less for the family. From administrative to nurses to food service and housekeeping they seem to put the needs of the residents front and center.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, they have put safe guard measures in place to mitigate any potential hazard to the best of their ability - which I applaud.
I can't and won't speak for everyone's experience. I don't think anyone really wants to place a family member 'into a facility'. As for my family, we simply couldn't give her the care and attention she needs and deserves.
My mom has been in other homes over the years, both 'skilled' and 'run of the mill' nursing homes where my family and I were left out of the loop when information should have been forthcoming.
I'm confident with the care my mom receives. I would recommend Community Care of Lemay to anyone facing difficult decisions about a loved one that requires more than what they can give themselves.
Granted its not an ideal best case scenario, I wish mental illness wasn't a reality for us to cope with. It's tough on family members, it's tough on care providers snd Dr's to find the right concoction of medicine to make things better, but mostly it's tough as hell on those whom are inflicted. Thank you for taking such great care of mom.
I have been employed at Community Care Center of Lemay for nearly 22 years. In a world where most people barely stay a few years at one place, I cannot imagine working anywhere else. To me, it is my second home. The staff are like family and overall work as a team. We truly love our residents and treat them like family. It's small, which I love, because we truly get to know each and every resident. We have shared many good times and have created many wonderful memories for our residents and their families. Overall, great place to work and according to our residents, a great place to live.
