I had the fish and chips with an apple pie concrete. The concrete was phenomenal and the fish was tender and cooked perfectly. If I had to be nitpicky, I would’ve liked the fries to be a bit crispier/saltier. -

(July 30, 2022, 5:29 pm)Would have given an 8/5 but Google don’t provide enough stars. Heath Bar Concrete was killer. Toffee is more refined though. They gave me a stool to sit on while I ate but the lady behind the counter didn’t charge me enough money for what her concretes were worth.
If you don’t visit this establishment after reading this review, a puppy will die. K bye!!! -

(January 24, 2022, 6:57 pm)Young's is a neat, simple, and retro eatery tucked back behind a gas station in Valley Park. The prices are really, really cheap given that you are getting fresh, home-cooked grub. I loved the fried chicken and mashed potatoes, with only the green beans being slightly average. The two folks I was with also loved their chili dog and cheeseburger, both with fries. We didn't indulge in any ice cream but they have a full offering and I am sure it is delicious. Definitely a hole-in-the-wall, local joint worth checking out.
Update: Young's has since become a favorite for our friends and my first 4-star review was insufficient. The catfish platter is amazing, and folks we go with continue to rave about the friend chicken, burgers, and yes, the ice cream!
