“So I am a regular at harbor freight. Their tools have always been hit or miss depending on the use case. They seem to be really stepping up the quality on the tools of late. They still have homeowner grade tools meant for light or occasional use but now they have contractor grade tools. They seem to be holding up all right. The store is clean and neat. The staff are usually outgoing and helpful, last time they were almost lethargic. It was just after Christmas. Maybe just tired. Good job as always HF.”

“I like this place. There's a real wide selection. You can get almost anything you need for outdoor work or farming. They got tools they got candy. They got old fashioned pickles. They got clothes. I definitely recommend them. Their prices aren't bad either and that's saying a lot considering the state of our economy. The only real critique I would have is the cashiers could engage with the customer more and talk to each other less. And I know that sounds like a managerial complaint but formally I was a manager in a different place and I notice things like that. It's one thing whenever there's no customers and you're just chatting with each other. Whatever. But when you're actively checking out a customer ringing up their items, it's pretty rude to look behind you and have a whole conversation while giving off the impression that checking out my items is an inconvenience for you. So you have some customer service things to work on. Otherwise, this review would have been a five star. But it still wasn't enough of an issue for me to not at least give a four star review.”

“As we struggled to get our deck done with a bad first choice contractor, the only saving grace for my sanity was the team at Hackmann and our second great choice contractor. Throughout it all, the team at Hackmann took the time to discuss what we were doing, offer suggestions and figure out what, and in some cases how many, we needed. Then they delivered it when we needed it and placed it where we asked them to. They custom ordered some items for us and got them to us quickly. It was easy to return stocked products and they even took the time to help me figure out how to send in the warranty on the products. (Who does that?!) They simply could not have been better to us. Whatever your hardware needs, whether it's lumber, composite decking, railing, nails, paint, electrical, plumbing, BBQ grills, gardening supplies, even birthday cards and Cardinals novelties, and of course everything hardware related, go to our hometown Hackmann store. You'll be happy you did.”
