Dr. Sharad Kunnath, M.D.

My husband and I can honestly say our son most likely would not be with us today if it wasn't for Dr. Sharad Kunnath and his team at Boystown. From the day he was born he has had issues with his G.I. tract. We went from doctor to doctor, and they told us it was most likely a virus that needed to pass. Eventually they referred us to Dr. Kunnath. Although this may have been one of his biggest challenges Dr. Kunnath stuck with it, and made sure our son was getting the best medical care he could possibly receive. By the time our son was one, he had finally been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. Today, he is a thriving 10-year-old boy who has never missed a day of school due to his diagnosis. This would not have been a possibility if it wasn't for Dr. Kunnath's dedication to his profession, as well as his strong faith that we share. Our son can now live a normal life now that we have the knowledge and the best doctor looking after him! Our words of thanks will never be enough! I think our Lord every day Dr. Kunnath was placed in our life to save my son.

Dr Kunnath was able to finally give us a Crohns diagnosis for our then six year old son after months and months of watching him suffer with no answers. He has cared for him with excellence, always current on new research, proactively trying to improve our son’s quality of life. He has been our G.I. for the past 15 years. I am bummed that we will have to transition to an adult G.I.soon… Dr K is well educated in his field, and his bedside manner top-notch. Highly recommend.

Dr Kunnath was my Pediatric GI doctor for about 16 years. I was his patient over at children’s and then followed him to Boys Town. He is the most caring doctor I have ever been in contact with. He knew me for me, and didn’t just see me as a number on a chart. I will always highly recommend him!

My daughter was constantly complaining of GI pain. We saw a few doctors and did not accomplish much. A good friend of mine recommended Dr. Kunnath and thanks to him, we finally made the progress we needed. He spent a lot of time with us and came up with a plan that worked well for my daughter. I highly recommend him.

I took my 7 year old into see Dr. Kunnath for the chief complaint of chronic stomach pain.
Dr. Kunnath was very thoughtful and kind. His calming and reassuring presence helped ease my child’s anxiety. He spent a lot of time going over her full health history and ordered some further diagnostic tests. My child’s health has been greatly improved and I highly recommend Dr. Kunnath for all GI related concerns!
