Great experience! Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I tend to try to pass out while donating, and they preemptively gave me a cold pack and put a fan on me and all that. They also found my vein super easy, which historically has been a bit of an issue. I really appreciate how smoothly everything went!
This isa well run organization that keeps our hospitals supplied with needed blood. The staff is friendly and the facility pristine. I always enjoy my time here.
Great staff. Fun and energetic and always willing to answer questions. Easiest donation process I've had. Facility is so clean! A plus is the blood stays in the community! The odd are very high that someone you know uses blood products from here!
First visit to NCBB on Pacific Street in Omaha and found all staff to be very professional and courteous. Facility is a couple years old. Very well laid out with new equipment. TV's at each station to keep you entertained if you need that to pass the time.
I arrived five minutes prior to my appointment and they were ready to receive me after completing necessary paperwork.
In and out in under 1hr.
My first time donating with the Nebraska Community Blood Bank was a great experience. They do offer platelet donation at the Omaha location, though you're not able to use the online scheduling tool like you can for whole blood. I called and set an appointment in less than 5 minutes for the same week. Check in was quick and simple via a tablet. The staff were welcoming and efficient, and the interior space is extremely clean, modern, and well designed. I was offered a remote for my own TV, and the chair speakers meant no headphones required. They had a heating pad set up for my neck and warm blankets for comfort. The platelet donation process was quicker and much less disruptive compared to the Red Cross. I was in and out in 2 hours versus 3, and the machine was almost silent and had far fewer issues with drops in pressure. The staff were very attentive and focused on my comfort throughout my visit. I highly recommend the Pacific St location in Omaha, and will be returning here for all future donations!
