“My son injured his thumb in a go cart accident late last night and I brought him to the ortho Nebraska urgent care this morning when they opened. They were able to get him in within 30 minutes and get x-rays. They were very thorough explaining the diagnosis and said we need to see the hand surgeon that was in clinic upstairs right away. They took us upstairs and worked us in within 20 minutes. Two hours later, our son was having surgery for a displaced proximal phalanx fracture. It was the absolute BEST care we could’ve ever received and all staff was so nice and friendly and helpful! Dr. Thompson came out and explained everything to me after surgery and what to expect. “I had surgery with Dr. Burt for a large labral tear in my hip back in 2004. A second surgery in 2006, and a final surgery in 2007. My x-rays, and arthrogram really didn't show much. After meeting with Dr. Burt, I asked him to please take a chance on me and we decided to move forward with hip laparoscopic surgery. He said I had one of the largest labral tears he has seen in a living person. I had two follow up surgeries, which included microfracture. The 3rd surgery we decided together to get more aggressive with the techniques to stop my hip from dislocating and tearing the tissue left inside my hip socket. It worked. My recovery was 10 weeks no touch on crutches. I have not had any more hip dislocations, and as far as I can tell, no new labral tears. I went from barely being able to walk, to being able to do anything I want. This man is not just a doctor who is capable of performing surgeries, he is a doctor that listens to his patients, and thinks outside of the medical norm to fix the issues that may not be seen by the standard x-rays or other testing modalities. He is my hero! If Dr. Burt ever sees this - HI! We moved down to Texas! Thank you so much for giving me my life back!!!”
