Camp A Way Campground is our 128th stop and we stayed for 7 days. Very convenient to I80 and 180 and less than 10 minutes to downtown. Check in was quick and the staff was personable/professional and we were escorted to our site. Chose a patio site (smoker, fire pit, patio furniture, swing and extra landscaping) - our site was huge! Speaking of huge, the dog park was one of the biggest we have run across in our travel and had nice grass. The park is kept very clean as was the laundry room. There are very mature trees throughout the park which provide excellent shade on the warm days. In terms of road noise, there is some but hardly noticeable inside. If you have kids, this place would be excellent given all the activities they have available. All in all, would rate this park a 4.5 and would definitely stay here again in the future. Connectivity (2:30 pm): Verizon 241.0 down/26.8 up; T-Mobile 71.8 down/3.89 up; Camp WiFi 70.0 down/42.7 up and was excellent throughout our stay.
Camp A Way RV Park is big rig friendly. We stayed in a 45' 5th wheel for a month and had no issues navigating the park. The main road is a little narrow, and is only an issue if two RV's are trying to pass at the same time.
If staying towards the back of the park, traffic from I-180 and I-80 will be very loud.
Everyone we interacted with at the park was friendly and helpful.
They have back-in and pull-through sites throughout the park. Almost all sites are fairly level and include a firepit and picnic table. Water pressure was okay, and the quality of the water was decent, but we chose to use bottle water.
They have a large dog park, and plenty of open spaces to walk your four-legged friends.
They have a nice size pool area, and many kid activities around the park. From playgrounds, to a huge water slide, batting cage, and more.
The restroom and laundry facility was clean and always stocked.
The park adheres to quiet times, however, staying at the back of the park will be very loud with the Interstate traffic.
The park is located minutes away from many restaurants and shopping.
This location has good cell service. We used an amplified antenna, and the following speeds were observed. AT&T 10 Mbps down, 1 Mbps up. T-Mobile was 50 Mbps down, 8 Mbps up, and Verizon was 20 Mbps down and 7 Mbps up.
If this review was helpful, please give it a thumbs up. Thanks
I can’t say enough about how great this place is! Jennifer and the rest of the staff are passionate for excellence, and it shows! One day was not long enough, even with late check out. We will be back! Also, highly recommend the golf-cart rental. Thank you!!
This place is great for kids and dogs. A decent sized dog park (enough for my Husky to get a good sprint in) and lots of shade around. The kids had a blast with the various amenities like train rides, pool, hot tub etc. It’s right off the highway too. I would stay here again if traveling over in that area again.
We have RV traveled full time for 4 year. This is one of the nicest campgrounds I’ve seen. It has an fenced amazing dog area that is shady and large enough for dogs to run. Conveniently close to highway. Excellent staff. Lots of activities for kids/ even tens. Spacious sites and lots of trees.
