My car broke down on the interstate and based on the recommendation of my dad I had it towed to Midlands. Over the phone asked what was going on and seemed to value my own opinion of what the issue was, and were very transparent with the fact that they were all booked a week out but they would try to see it as soon as possible. 3 days later they had my car in and sent me a very impressive online file that documented their detailed inspection with pictures! Out of all the auto shops I’ve been to, this is a first.
They called me back with their recommendations and gave me a realistic timeline of when the repairs would finished. I’m a college kid who normally does all my repairs myself but based on my circumstances and their fair prices I was happy to let them service my car. They didn’t take any short cuts and made sure my alternator was actually faulty and not some other issue. I felt informed during the whole process and that means a lot to me. I will definitely be returning for future repairs.

I had made a few calls to have my car looked at at different places but either no one would return a call or couldn't see me right way. I found Midlands Auto Repair. They got me in right away. Apparently, I had a few things going on with my car. I ended up with a tune-up being done for now. I was given a clear option to do some of the other work at a later date since they weren't as urgently needed. Generally, I feel pressured to get all of the work done immediately causing a major stress on my finances. I "really" appreciated this breakdown of information. The whole process was was great. I got text messages throughout the day showing pictures and descriptions of what the mechanic was seeing and what the diagnostics findings were. Everything was very clear and concise. Absolutely, loved being able to have that information in real time because it helped me make a better decisions about what I actually needed to get fixed on my car instead of hoping I was being told the correct information as in the traditional way of taking your car in for service. The staff was friendly and I will definitely go back to Midlands Auto Repair to get the rest of the work done. I don't know how I could go back to any other mechanic that didn't use the text messaging system because I feel as though I was there at the shop looking at everything myself - it was just pretty amazing.
