Amazing care. Our German shepherd got at least a cup of liquid beef tallow off the counter and we knew she needed immediate attention. Had never been here before, but they were spectacular with very reasonable prices. Kim, the receptionist, helped me since I had to bring my one year old in with me to the waiting room. I didn't catch the vet's name but he was very personable and professional.
You wouldn't think a pet ER would have a warm, welcoming atmosphere, but this place did. We hope to never need urgent care again, but if we do, we will not hesitate to come back here.
They also offer a military discount - and are upfront about it! Most places, if they have one, don't advertise it.

WONDERFUL CARE! Our German Shepherd got a cup of beef tallow off the counter and we knew she needed to be seen fast. This place was recommended to us by another vet. I didn't even bother to read the reviews, just jumped in the car and raced over.
They took her right away, everyone was incredibly friendly (Kim the receptionist helped when I needed to go get my one year old in his stroller to bring him inside). You would think a place as high-intensity as an animal ER wouldn't also be warm and welcoming, but they were.
The vet was also wonderful (I forgot his name). Took the time to review everything with me and instructions for further care.
I liked that they offered a military discount and were upfront about it! It was on the sign-in sheet. Normally places don't advertise that, if they have one.
I hope we never need emergency veterinary care for our girl again, but if we do, I will not hesitate to come right back here.

Amazing place!!! The doctors and entire staff are just caring, supportive, knowledgeable and just amazing!!! It's terrible when your dog has a problem and no one knows what it is. They were able to explain everything to me that would need to be done and pricing. It just helped make the whole experience calming.

The doctor and staff was very kind and understanding. I really liked that we could get on the waiting list at home and come in when the appointment was available. They were the only vet or hospital that we called that were able to get our dog in the same day for a leg injury. Their prices are very fair as well. I would highly recommend bringing your pet here it’s probably the best experience I’ve ever had with any vet. I wish they did general veterinary work because we would switch from our current vet in a second.

I showed up upset and hardly able to think with dog who was dying and miserable. I was met at the door by a vet tech/receptionist who took us straight to a room. Both the vet tech and the veterinarian who saw my dog were WONDERFUL with my dog and with me. I was able to stay with my dog while she was euthanized and was treated with compassion. I was actually shocked at my total cost. Much less expensive than my regular local vet. I ended up here after a HORRIBLE experience at WeCare emergency vet in Waldorf. I will drive straight to Dogs and Cats Emergency if any of my pets ever require emergency care. Thank you to the staff who was working very early morning on Sunday 24 July 2022. Your compassion means a lot to me.
