Exactly what we needed. My son is standing up straighter after a couple years of weight gain and low self esteem. He’s happier, hopeful, and nicer to his little sis:) He loves the coaches and Ashley the manager is a treasure. Everything has been a cinch thanks to her orchestration and excellent communication. I will be joining soon…even just dropping my kid off there makes me feel like Ronda:)
Had a good experience meeting Mike Penny and training Judo. Look forward to visiting more in the future.
Enjoy the gym, great staff and culture.
Diversity in training. Flexible hours. Personalized 1 on 1 training. several classes to choose from.. Geared towards the entire family. Great Community.
The people at this gym are great. I've worked with 3 or 4 different teachers already, and they all want to make sure that the students are actually "getting it." None of the teachers have any problem working one-on-one with a student to make sure he or she is getting the movement down.
In addition to the teachers, the other students are very helpful as well. The idea of iron sharpening iron is very prevalent here. If you're working with a class mate and he notices an improvement, he'll help you out, and not in a "I know more than you do" way, but as a way of making you better.
So far, my class size has been as small as me (one time in the intro class) to as large as maybe 10-12 people. It's been big enough that I get experience working with different people, and small enough that the instructors know my name, and remember moves I've struggled with.
From what I can tell, these guys know what they're doing as well. A lot of the people compete in regional and national tournaments, and they seem to consistently be bringing home medals and belts.
The closest I got to martial arts before this gym was a class at the community center in 6th grade. But because of how great this gym is, I can't wait for training days.
