Holiday Inn Express & Suites Las Vegas - E Tropicana, an IHG Hotel

I stayed here two weeks because I unknowingly arrived with COVID and I quarantined in my room. The GM and staff, Alexandria, were great in responding to my requests for a daily change of linen and fresh towels. The GM even offered water but I only drink Eternal brand Alkaline water, which I ordered.

This is a newer hotel at the end of the Strip and a mile or so to the Airport. I chose this hotel because its 100% smoke free. The serve breakfast daily from 6am until 9 or 10am and coffee is in the lobby 24/7. They have a beautiful private pool area out back. However, my room was not clean when I checked in. Someone had changed the linen and put only a fitted sheet on the bed. There were no towels in the room. The floor was dirty and the furniture was dusty. I sanitized everything anyways but I reported the room's status to the front desk. I know every hotel is having housekeeping shortage issues but this hotel had a lot of housekeeping but not good housekeepers (many young males cleaning), they need to be properly trained. I was in that room with COVID and I bleached the room daily and at check out but I told the assigned housekeeper that the room should be sanitized and he looked at me as if to say, that's not going to happen. I pray no one who has stayed in room 316 after me was subject to any possible germs. I was there the first two weeks of October.

A very nice place that is up to date and convenient to the Strip. Staff are friendly and attentive. The location is a tad bit attracting to the walking homeless of Vegas, but what spot on the Strip isn't? Hotel security measures are sufficient to provide adequate safety. Breakfast is standard HIE fare. Everything is clean, bright, and tidy. Good soundproofing in the rooms which helps because hotel is right next to the Vegas Airport, which is convenient.

Great location to the strip. Very clean hotel. Breakfast was very good for being included in room rate. The only downside we had was the mattresses are very soft if you are used to a firmer mattress. However, we would definitely stay here again.
