If you enjoy amazing views and need a break from the craziness of the casinos in Vegas, Red Rock Canyon is a must-see. It's about a 20 minute drive to the canyon, and you can spend hours there if you like hiking, rock climbing, or just being in nature. If you just go for the sights, High Point Overlook is one of many stops along the Scenic Loop. The views are incredible, and a helpful reminder of how little we are in the big scheme of things. Just like all the other stops, there are trails to hike here; High Point has the least steep trails, but all will give you a workout. Even if you're not planning on hiking at all, just strolling around the parking area can be hot, so bring water! You'll want it. Take your time, and enjoy.
Beautiful site!
Super windy but has breathtaking view.
Beautiful scenery and nice facilities 20 minutes from Las Vegas strip
Great views of the park from here. Accessible via driving the scenic loop. When I visited, it was crazy windy up there.
