Very cool. How did this old car get out here and how long has it been here? Does anyone know?
Not a bad hike... It's roughly 2 miles from the parking lot. We went most of the way along the gravely river bed, which is not fun to walk through, but it's pretty flat. You can also go along the actual trail, which isn't gravel, but goes up and down the side of the canyon. Note - if you go along the gravel, keep an eye on your map (ie Google maps on your phone) and take the steep trail up the side of the hill just before getting to the red bug pass on the map. If you stay in the gravel the entire time and don't do this, you'll miss the bug, since it's up on the hillside - not in the river bed.
On a cool winter day, it took us around 2 hours round trip.
Anyone know how that car got there?
